You can apply for full or associate membership:

• Full membership is open to anyone who conducts sociological research and supports the Academy’s goals. Eligibility is generally demonstrated by holding a doctoral degree in sociology or another social science discipline. Alternatively, peer-reviewed social science publications may be recognized as a prerequisite for full membership. Full members have the right to vote and to stand for election.
• Associate members support the Academy’s goals, regardless of their occupation or academic qualifications. Associate members do not have voting rights.

Eligibility for membership is determined in accordance with German association law. Decisions are made by the Executive Board. If you are applying for regular membership, please send us your completed membership application along with an academic (short) résumé via email to: info@akademie-soziologie.de.
