AS Get Together

The Academy of Sociology offers its members the opportunity to network and engage in discussion two or three times per semester as part of the digital AS Get-together. The meeting is typically centered around an overarching theme, with one or two short introductory presentations. Active participation from attendees is encouraged afterward!

The AS Get-together provides a space for professional exchange on current developments and challenges in research, teaching, and academic practice. Feel free to strike up a casual conversation as well! The series “Sociology Then and Now: Careers, Controversies, and Curiosities” is designed to bring together the different generations of AS members. Anecdotal evidence is expressly encouraged here!

Finally, the AS Get-together offers our members the opportunity to connect with the board and voice important concerns.

The AS Get-together is open to members of the Academy of Sociology. The dial-in information will be announced a few days before the event.
