AS Dissertation Award
At its biennial AS Congress, the Academy of Sociology awards the prize for the best dissertation in analytical-empirical sociology. The prize money currently amounts to 1,500 EUR.
Researchers whose dissertation (in German or English) was successfully defended in either of the two years prior to the award ceremony are eligible to submit an application. Reviewers and advisors of outstanding analytical-empirical theses are encouraged to inform their doctoral students of this opportunity to submit an application. AS membership is not required to apply.
